If you bike for weekend fun and weekday commuting then the MTX is the one for you. The MTX is a x-road e-bike, perfect for your daily on road commute and your weekend warrior adventures. As a x-road e-bike it allows you to have a bike in your garage for escapade while only needing one bike, which is not only a huge space saver but will also save you thousands of dollars.
Get top level performance, at the right price. It’s hard to find a quality trail bike with a powerful hub motor to give ultimate riding flexibility. Use the pedal assist, strong and seamless with the built in torque sensor or use the thumb throttle for a boost when needed. And with the large 672 Wh integrated battery you’ll have plenty of juice where ever the trail takes you. You’ll have smooth, powerful braking with the Tektro E-350 hydraulic dual piston disc brakes, 180mm rotors front and rear. And fluid shifting with the Shimano name brand components. It’ll redefine your idea of what cycling can and should be.
Because the MTX is designed for all the riding you’ll do in one week it comes equipped with full front and rear fenders for the daily commute, to keep you clean and dry in all weather. Gnarly all terrain 27.5″x2.35″ Kenda Kadre tires are there to get you over anything that comes your way. Paired with an Suntour XCM ATB suspension fork with 80mm for travel, you’ll cruise over the pot holes in the roads and the rocks down the trail with ease. And of course integrated front and rear lights, with a brake light function, to keep you safe and well seen on and off the road. Additionally it comes with a heavy duty cargo rack for carrying all of your stuff for you.
Removeable Integrated Battery
The MTX Max features an elegantly integrated battery in the downtube, where the battery is minimally visible. But remains easy to remove, simply unlock the battery and release it with the switch. The battery can easily be charged on the bike from an integrated charge port or with the battery removed.

The helmet is very comfortable and the intercom works great. Great product and a fair price.
This was a huge step up from my previous E-bike (Jetson Bolt Pro). Its a very smooth ride, and has enough power to keep me moving. I have the expanded battery, and I estimate that going full speed I can get around 60km, (20km is roughly 1/5 bars of power). With pedaling at a slower speed I suspect I could probably get anywhere on the island as unless I am going uphill it sits between 15-30 watts.
I plan to add a GPS Tracker, and a seat post Shock upgrade (I'm a fairly heavy person and the seats springs are not quite enough, its comfy but I find myself bottoming out on it).
Everything about the bike is basically perfect so Its probably easier if I mention the things I disliked.
The first quirk (Which I was aware of at the time of purchase), because the battery has a key that cuts off the power fully, the display clock cannot keep time.
The second quirk, is the handlebar is very curved. This makes it a bit of a challenge to attach handle bar accessories.
Finally the third is related to the headlight and brake light. I find that these lights just are not powerful enough, I would want about 30-50% more brightness out of the front headlight, and at least double the rear light. On a side note I am not a huge fan of the single screw headlight mounts (Although the one on this bike feels tight enough, I have found that overtime they get looser and the light will not stay in position).
All in all, The bike is amazing but be prepared to purchase a better headlight, and brake light.
This bike is truly amazing. The ride is smooth with its incredible suspension. The twist throttle is easy to operate and the motor packs a punch. This bike is a joy to ride in all weathers. Looking for something a little different, I couldn’t recommend this bike enough, and it’s certainly an eye catcher.
They came fast and where the right size. Even got a discount on delivery because I live in Campbell River.

We bought R1 helmets 3 years ago and we love the product. We bought new one because we decided to leave our old helmet in France instead of carry them each year when we go to our home.
If you love cycling you need those helmets.
Wife and I use these almost on a daily basis since we are retired and biking for most of our shopping and going around. Works very good. Range is not that much but certainly enough for what we are doing.

We are really happy with these devices. They sit comfortably on the head and do not interfere at all.
Intercom distance no issue with if you are in line-of-sight off your partener. Talk time is estimated at 6 hours, the recharge is typically 1-2 hours. But it not easy to make the set up, ignore the Sena Utility app it not working.
Setup requirements for good working :
- Use a laptop with a USB port
- Full charge the Sena units
- Download and install the Sena Device Manager on your computer.
- Update the firmware 1.0.2 April 5, 2023 with the Sena Device Manager.
- Download The Sena Cycling App that allows you to create and manage intercom
Overall we are very happy with these it is a great product.
They are extremely easy to use, we are very satisfied with the in operation. It is more than recommended, it is essential since it completely changes our bike trips, allowing perfect communication at all times
We got our headsets fastly they came through quickly (about three days), very good service with our supplier Ride the Glide, precises informations and transparency make the difference !

So far so good. It was my rear tire. I had to find someone local in my area that could do the change out. Definitely out of my area of expertise.
