RTG Contest 2024/25 Rules

Ride The Glide E-Bike Giveaway 2024/25 (the “Contest”) is subject to the following Official Rules. By entering or attempting to enter the Contest, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Official Rules.

The Contest may be promoted, communicated, or administered through third-party platforms, including but not limited to social media or social networking services (a “Third-Party Service”). The Contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or affiliated with any Third Party Service. Third-Party Services include, but are not limited to, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Facebook. The Contest is solely sponsored and administered by Ride The Glide RTG E-Bikes Inc. (“Ride The Glide”).

Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Contest should be directed to Ride The Glide and not to any Third-Party Service.

1. ELIGIBILITY.

The Contest is open only to residents of the Capital Regional District of Vancouver Island, BC, who have reached the age of majority as of the date of entry.

The following individuals are not eligible to enter the Contest:

  1. Employees, and directors of: (i) Ride The Glide; and (ii) any prize suppliers;
  2. Household member of any of the individuals listed above;
  3. And or members of the immediate family (spouse, parent, child, sibling) of the individuals listed in (1) and (2), above.

The Sponsor reserves the right to request proof of identity and eligibility at any time. Failure to provide this may result in disqualification. All information provided must be truthful, accurate, and complete. The Sponsor may disqualify any entrant who submits false, incomplete, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information.

2. CONTEST PERIOD.

The Contest entry period shall start on December 1, 2024, and end on February 28, 2025. After which time the Contest will be closed and no other entries shall be accepted.

3. HOW TO ENTER.

There is no purchase necessary to enter the Contest. To enter, visit Ride The Glide in Broadmead Village Shopping Center, complete and submit the Contest entry form. Entries must be received prior to the end of the Contest period. Limit of one (1) entry per person per Contest entry type. Total limit of three (3) entries per person.

Contest entry types consist of:

  • Visit instore and fill out the Contest entry form.
  • Take any RTG E-Bike for a test ride and receive a second entry form.
  • Receive an entry flyer from Money Savers Envelope advertisement and bring flyer into Ride the Glide to receive an entry form.

4. Disqualifying Factors.

Your (contestant) entry could be refused or rejected if:

  • The Contestant fails to meet the Contest’s eligibility criteria
  • The Contestant attempts to enter the Contest in a manner not authorized by these Official Rules
  • The Contestant’s entry contains false, or misleading information, or is late, falsified, illegible, incomplete or otherwise irregular
  • The Contestant’s entry is submitted using robotic, automated, programmed, or other illicit means
  • The Contestant’s entry is submitted by persons other then the contestant
  • The Contestant’s entry is not in compliance with these Official Rules.

In addition, Ride The Glide reserves the right to refuse any entry for any other reason in its sole discretion.

5. Entry Conditions.

By entering the Contest:

  • You agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of Ride The Glide, decisions are final.
  • You consent to providing proof of identity or eligibility upon request; failure to do so may result in disqualification.
  • You release and forever discharge Ride The Glide, its respective affiliates, and all of their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, licensees, successors and assigns, as well as any Third-Party Services, (collectively, the “ Releasees”), and agree to indemnify and hold harmless each of the Releasees, from, and against any and all claims, damages or liability, including any costs or losses related to personal injury, death, damage to or loss or destruction of property, arising out of, or in any way related to, (i) your participation in, or inability to participate in, the Contest, (ii) the awarding, receipt, possession, use, redemption or misuse of any prize, in whole or in part, or activity related to any prize, or your inability to receive, use or redeem any prize; (iii) your failure to comply with these Official Rules, or (iv) any breach of these Official Rules.

Ride The Glide will not be liable to you for any indirect, special, consequential, or punitive damages in connection with the Contest or these Official Rules.

6. Prize Conditions.

In addition to any prize conditions provided elsewhere in these Official Rules, any prize awarded in the Contest is subject to the following conditions:

  • The prize must be accepted as awarded, will be awarded to the confirmed winner only, and is not transferable, re-sellable or redeemable for cash.
  • Ride The Glide reserves the right to substitute any prize in whole or in part in the event that all or any component of the prize is unavailable, with a prize of equal or greater retail value.
  • Ride The Glide does not make any representation or warranty, expressed or implied, regarding the quality or characteristics of the prize.
  • The prize is provided ‘as is’ and does not include any warranties, guarantees, or additional services that may typically accompany a new purchase, such as free tune-ups or maintenance. However, our team is available to provide regular service and support at standard rates.

Any winner is solely responsible for coordinating use of any prize and for all taxes, fees, and expenses not otherwise set forth herein. Prizes may be subject to additional terms and conditions as imposed by prize suppliers.

7. Selecting a Winner.

On March 2, 2025 beginning at 12:00 pm PST in Victoria, British Columbia, Ride The Glide will conduct 1 random draw corresponding to the Prize from among all eligible entries received. For the Prize to be awarded pursuant to these Official Rules, one entrant will be randomly selected as a potential winner and notified using the information provided at the time of entry. If any potential winner does not respond to such notification within three (3) business days, declines a prize for any reason, or does not meet the requirements set forth in these Official Rules, as determined by Ride The Glide, the potential winner will be disqualified and, at Ride The Glide’s discretion, an alternate potential winner may be randomly selected from among remaining eligible entries, or the prize may be cancelled.

8. Becoming a Winner.

To be declared a winner, a potential winner:

  • Must correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by Ride The Glide
  • Must comply with these Official Rules
  • Must sign and return, within any designated time period, any documentation as reasonably required by Ride The Glide, which may include a standard release of liability and consent to publicity form
  • May be required to provide proof of identification to confirm eligibility or to claim a prize.

9. Odds of Winning.

The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

10. Claiming a Prize.

Once a potential winner is confirmed as a winner, prize distribution will be promptly coordinated. Except as otherwise indicated by Ride The Glide, a winner must personally take delivery of the prize as instructed within fourteen (14) days of being notified that such prize is available or within such other time period as may reasonably be advised. If a winner fails to take delivery of the prize as instructed, the prize will be deemed forfeited.

11. Publicity of Winner

If you win the Contest, Ride The Glide may require you to participate in promotional or publicity activities related to this Contest. By entering, you give Ride The Glide permission to use your name, hometown, photograph, voice, and/or image for promotional and publicity purposes in any media. This use does not require additional notification, permission, payment, or compensation.

12. Personal Information Collection and Disclosing

By entering the Contest, you consent to Ride The Glide’s collection, use and disclosure of your personal information for purposes of administering the Contest as described in these Official Rules or as otherwise required or permitted by applicable law.

13. Applicable Laws

The Contest and these Official Rules are governed by the laws applicable in British Columbia. Any disputes, claims or causes of action arising out of or connected with the Contest, prize or these Official Rules will be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court of British Columbia, Canada.

14. Cancellation or Amendment

Ride The Glide may cancel, modify, or suspend the Contest or amend these Official Rules for any reason without prior notice. For example, if for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, Ride The Glide may adjust any of the dates, timeframes or other Contest mechanics, or suspend or cancel the Contest.
The Contestants may not amend these Official Rules in any way.

15. Disqualification or Banning

Ride The Glide may disqualify without notice or ban someone from the Contest or any future contest for any other reason, including if Ride The Glide find that a person has:

  • Resold or attempted to resell a prize, in whole or in part
  • Tampered with or attempted to tamper with, or undermined or attempted to undermine, the legitimate operation of the Contest
  • Provided false or misleading information
  • Acted in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any person
  • Or otherwise violated these Official Rules.

16. Rule Contradictions

In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between these Official Rules and disclosures or statements made by Ride The Glide or appearing in other Contest-related materials, these Official Rules shall govern.
